Polish School of Education, Parish of Our Lady of Częstochowa

The Polish School of Education at the parish of M.B. Częstochowa and St. Kazimierz was established on 27 June 2011 by the then parish priest, Fr. Canon Dr. Witold Mroziewski, and the principal was Mrs. Teresa Ramotowska, M.A.

The school year 2011/2012 began with a solemn mass celebrated by Fr Bishop Rojek. It was a historic moment, because the school received a banner dedicated on that day, and funded by Mr. Principal. Studying at school promises to be very interesting. Numerous competitions, dance games, and interesting events should diversify the time of our children. Our school not only conducts educational activities, but also comprehensively educates children and young people. The school employed 15 experienced and qualified teachers who provide students with knowledge of Polish language, history and geography.

We want students to be proud of their origins, to value their own identity, and in the future represent the Polish ethnic group in American society. Every year the number of students increases, as kindergarten classes for 3 and 4-year-olds have been created. Didactic classes are held every Saturday from 10 to 1:15, and after the didactic classes

The school has a rich book collection in the established school library. Catechesis classes in Polish and English begin at 9 am and are taught by qualified

Classes are held in the school building owned by the parish. In 2013, the parish changed - Fr. Dr. Witold Mroziewski, who today is Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, departed, and in his place we welcomed the new host, Father Dr. Janusz Dymek, who is the administrator of the parish. Fr Janusz shows the school a lot of care, always open to cooperation and all matters. Under his strict control, catechesis is taught in school, children proceed to first Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation

PSD cooperates closely with the parish, takes part in various types of parish ceremonies. The school has a beautiful hall for use, where the main celebrations are held.
