Job Opening: Civil / Structural Engineer (Licensed)

Company: American Building Development

American Building Development is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer or Structural Engineer with experience in residential and multi-family construction, specializing in decks, balconies, structural footings, and reinforcement design.

Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (depending on experience)

Requirements:

• Active PE License (Civil or Structural) preferred

• Experience designing deck and balcony structural systems

• Knowledge of footings, post foundations, framing, and structural reinforcement

• Ability to prepare structural calculations and stamped drawings

• Familiarity with California Building Code (CBC)

• Experience working with building departments and permit applications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design software

Responsibilities:

• Prepare structural engineering plans and calculations

• Evaluate existing structures and provide reinforcement solutions

• Design footings, beams, posts, and framing systems

• Provide stamped drawings for permit approval

• Coordinate with contractors and project managers during construction
