The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases. The Optometrist will work closely with patients to ensure their ocular health and visual needs are met, while also contributing to the growth and success of our practice.Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (2 days/week)Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and diagnose ocular conditions. Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient visits. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed optical devices. Collaborate with ophthalmologists for referrals and co-management of eye conditions. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Provide pediatric eye care services, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients (age 5 and up). Utilize medical coding for billing purposes related to patient care. Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain patient safety. ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and qualifications: Proficiency in medical terminology related to optometry and ophthalmology. Strong understanding of anatomy as it pertains to the visual system. Experience with vital signs assessment is preferred. Familiarity with optical products and sales techniques is advantageous. Previous experience managing medical records is a plus. A background in pediatrics is beneficial for working with younger patients (age 5 and up). Bilingual English/Russian is preferred.
